• Throughout time, Black women have been trailblazers. They have also been soldiers in the fight for equality, especially in the field of education. Yet, when you think of Black women educators, Septima Clark, is one of the most unsung heroes. She was affectionately named the Mother of the Movement by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. because of her activism during the Civil Rights
    Movement. Her courageous work paved the way for Black women educators today.
